The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NERHMS) is a medical institute in India located in the hills city of the Northeastern state of Meghalaya. The state of Meghalaya is often called Scotland of the East. The institute offers postgraduate programs in medicine, veterinary science, dentistry, and obstetrics and gynecology.
Admission to a MBBS course at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences in Shillong is based on NEET UG, an All India Quota test.
