Lonavala is a lovely mountain retreat and hill station in Maharashtra. Situated in the Sahyadri range of the Western Ghats, it lies at a comfortable distance by car from Mumbai as well as Pune of 83 and 54 km respectively. It has hills, waterfalls, and lakes and is an absolute delight in the monsoons.
I thought of visiting the place this monsoon and went ahead with all the bookings with Thrillophilia. Their package offers were the most suitable and were the best way to get a feel of the city. With the ease of the package deals by Thrillophilia, I could book a car of my choice. The drivers are all verified and experienced chauffeurs. I went through the other car options for group tourists as well. If travelling in a larger group I could book a sedan for 2 to 4 people and an SUV for 4 to 6 people. As part of my thrillophilia reviews, I would greatly shout out for the comfort of travel they provide. What’s more, the package is all inclusive of fuel, driver allowance, parking charges as well as toll. I must say it is a great deal they offer!
Reviews of thrillophilia cannot be complete without the awesome experience of the natural beauty of this place. I was guided very well by the driver who knew all the tourist attractions at Lonavala like a pro. Let me share a glimpse of this wonderful trip.
To begin with, the first great thing after reaching my hotel in Lonavala was getting picked up from the location. I had already pre-booked the car I wanted with Thrillophilia. Oh! What a relief it was! As part of the sightseeing tour that I had already booked, I let out my list of known tourist attractions. They were the Bhushi dam, Wax Museum, Duke’s Nose, Ryewood Park, Khandala and Lonavala lake, Rajmachi Garden, Narayani Dham Temple, Lion’s point, Shooting Point and Wagh Mata Temple. The driver informed me that all these places have already been included in the suggested itinerary by Thrillophilia. They will ensure that I will not miss any of these must-visit places. Even with this exhaustive list, if I wished to customize the tour as per my comfort, I was most welcome to do so. This wide-ranged choice offered to tourists itself calls for commendable thrillophilia reviews.
All the way I was guided in my sightseeing by a knowledgeable chauffeur at every step. I decided to go by the suggested itinerary by Thrillophilia. After I was picked, we headed to Lion’s point. This is the ultimate point to get a view of the entire valley immersed in the lap of nature. My driver knows the place so well that he guided me to the exact points from where I could click great panoramic view pics.
The next place that I was taken was Lonavala lake. Situated on the Indrayani River, this place was simply soaked in tranquil surroundings. It was a great way to unwind and stretch my limbs freely. Further, my next destination was the Lonavala Wax Museum. All of a sudden, I was in the company of celebrities, sportspersons and influential people. These immortalized life-sized wax statues made me wonder at the levels of creativity humans have reached. It was in stark contrast to the natural beauty I had just witnessed. Nonetheless, this was equally mesmerizing. It was so comforting to see my car and driver waiting most patiently while I took my own sweet time exploring the place.
In the next step of the Lonavala exploration, I was whisked off to a piece of history back in the distant past. I visited the Karla caves, the oldest Buddhist caves in India. It transported me to the before Christ era in an instant. There were niches in the age-old rocks which used to serve as meditation points for the Buddhist monks of the yesteryears. I too sat in one such meditation nook and clicked pics as a monk.
The Narayani Dham temple was my next visiting point in Lonavala. This temple is dedicated to Devi Narayani, an incarnation of the Mother Goddess. Here too I was given a brief about the place by the driver cum tour guide. The temple with its four-storeyed structure is a serene yet popular tourist attraction here. I hopped off to a few other places in this beautiful hilly place.
This was a round-up of my trip to Lonavala with Thrillophilia. What comforted me throughout was the patience of the chauffeur as I took my own time to explore. I was dropped off at my hotel by the end of the day. My trip was made all the more memorable right from booking to the drop-off. A big thank you to Thrillophilia.
